About the Run2Nowhere

The Run2Nowhere, 2-day trail run forms part of the R2N Events family, that is based in the town of McGregor
in the Western Cape. The inaugural event took place in 2017 and entries were limited to 120 runners, which
was sold out only a few weeks after opening the entries.

The event is aimed at trail runners preparing for longer multi day events or runners that would like to attempt
their first 2-day trail run.

The route offers a good challenge and reward, and consist of mainly single tracks, a few open gravel roads and
some steep climbs with amazing views.

Due to the moderate running distances per day participants have the opportunity to spend the afternoon
exploring the town or relaxing with friends and family – making it an ideal weekend away and enjoying the
outdoors!

As with all our R2N events we strive to support the local community by using them for 70% of the event
service which in return creates a very unique atmosphere where participants can experience the local
hospitality and entertainment.
The event is inclusive, hassle free and focuses on shared experiences, accessibility and participation for
everyone.

Why do we call it the ‘Run2Nowhere’?

The first R2N event was established in 2012 called the Ride2Nowhere (3-day mountain bike stage race), which
adopted its name from the main road of the town, a local icon, called the ‘Road to Nowhere’ which literally
leads into the mountains to a dead-end and basically to nowhere. So when the race organizers decided to also
host a trail running in McGregor, it made sense to give it the same ‘family name’.
